MEMBERSHIPS/LEARN TO ROW

Our membership packages are open to people of all ages and experience and we cater for novice, masters and open standard rowers.

Novice Rowing

We cater for new rowers of all ages - from 14 to 70 (and older). Novice rowers will generally commence with specific Learn to Row sessions and progress from there to training with the rest of the squad.

Masters Rowing

If you are over 27 years old, you are eligible to race in Masters Regattas. Masters rowing events are graded by age. We cater for masters rowers of all ages and abilities. Masters rowers can also row in Open rowing events

Open Rowing

Competitive rowers compete in Open rowing events. Rowers are allocated a Rowing Score (RS) by Rowing WA according to ability and compete in grades A to E depending on their allocated RS

Learn to Row

The aim of Learn to Row is to get non-rowers on the water as soon as possible. They will learn:

  • safety, both on and off the water

  • how to identify boats and equipment; and

  • good rowing technique.

Learn to Row classes are a pre-requisite to full membership for those who have never rowed before. They are run by experienced club coaches and open to people of all ages.
